Terms and Conditions / Directory Listing Policy

The Majura Valley Regional Tourism website is managed by the Majura Valley Landcare Group, Molonglo Conservation Group and the Majura Valley Consultative Committee.

To be eligible to be listed on the Majura Valley Regional Tourism website, you need to meet the criteria (attachment A). Businesses have complete control over their listing and can update at any time. 

Our key priority is to promote the region to potential domestic and internal visitors, media and trade and the development of Majura Valley festivals and events. The website will promote emotional experiences and attract visitors that seek unique and high-quality products. 

Must be located in the Majura Valley region unless otherwise approved by the website committee. 

One listing per business per category (see & do). For example, you are only eligible for one listing if you own multiple businesses under one company. 

You can have one business with multiple offerings (e.g. shopping that is also an attraction), and the business will be listed under the different categories and pages of the website. 

Listings must be under the correct category according to the guidelines. 

Each additional listing incurs a fee of ($50?) per listing. Suppose a business has more than one aspect of its business, or a person owns multiple businesses under one membership. In that case, 

The Majura Valley Consultative Committee reserves the right to remove or request the removal/revision of any creative deemed unsuitable. 

The Majura Valley Consultative Committee may, at its absolute discretion, refuse to publish any advertisement. The Majura Valley Consultative Committee reserves the right to reject/remove any rich media ad from the rotation that does not meet creative specifications. contravenes guidelines or adversely affects site performance, other ad placements or user experience. 

 

Majura Valley Brand and Assets

In 2017, the Majura Valley Landcare Group worked to develop the Majura Valley brand. Using the Majura Valley brand is outlined in the Majura Valley Brand guidelines. Consistent messaging and successful branding will help achieve our combined aim of positioning the Majura Valley as one of Australia’s leading destination regions.

The symbolism of the Majura Valley logo is Mount Ainslie and Mount Majura, which are the pillars of the Valley. This logo embodies our focus is on creating extraordinary experiences, pride in the region and history, and environmental stewardship. 

The Majura Valley brand highlights the region’s character as welcoming, authentic, race and iconic. This region is the gateway to the Bush Capital, home of the Canberra Airport and the route from Sydney to the Snowies. The Majura Valley region will be a brand recognised on the global stage.

Event Listing

Events must have a tourism focus with the best potential to stimulate visitation. Event organisers can contact majuravalley@gmail.com for assistance with the event listing. 

Businesses are responsible for keeping their listing up to date through the membership portal. All listings are subject to the approval of management and will be reviewed every 12 months. The Majura Valley Consultative Committee accepts no responsibility for the accuracy of a business listing. The business must ensure that all the information is correct.
